Real Health Insurance has partnered with nib to provide special agreements with healthcare professionals and practices across Australia. By choosing to see a provider in the network, you can get better value by being charged less, just for being a Real Health Insurance member. nib have different arrangements like First Choice, opens in a new tab and MediGap, opens in a new tab, check with your chosen provider if they participate and how they might be able to help keep your costs down.

Only providers in the network will appear in the Find a Provider search tool. That doesn't mean you can't see the provider of your choice, but they may charge you more than providers nib have special agreements with. You can search for providers beyond nib's network on the National Health Services Directory, opens in a new tab.

No - you can see any provider you want, as long as they meet nib's recognised provider criteria. If you do choose to see a provider outside of nib's network, they may charge you more than the providers nib have special agreements with.

nib don't have special agreements with all healthcare professionals, that's why some won't appear in the network. You can still see any provider you choose, as long as they meet nib's recognised provider criteria and you're covered for that service. In most cases your provider just needs to have a Medicare registration, but Natural Therapies providers must be registered with a specific association, so contact us, opens in a new tab check before you book an appointment.

As long as you're covered for a service, you can claim for a range of telehealth consultations via phone or video conferencing. Check with your provider to see if they're able to offer you a telehealth appointment, or use the provider search to find a physio in the network who can offer telehealth consultations - just filter your results by providers who offer telehealth.
